Michael Hall, Coach
Michael Hall established Fast Track Coaching in 2004. Over the past 7 years, he has witnessed drastic improvements in all of his athletes abilities. Coach Hall has coached 1 All American, 5 National Junior Olympic Qualifiers, 1 NEPSTA New England Coach Hall has also worked with one of Connecticut's top Distance programs at New Milford High School from 2007-2009 as both a volunteer assistant as well as the Head Track and Field Coach for the Indoor and Outdoor program during the 2008-2009 season. His athletes currently hold NMHS school records in the 55mH, 300m, 110 Hurdles, 400m Hurdles, 800m, 3200m and 4x400m relay. Coach Hall has also worked with the Central Connecticut State University Middle Distance Runners, Long Sprints, Hurdles and Cross Country athletes as the Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach for the 2009-2010 campaign. Currently Coach Hall's athletes hold CCSU school records in the 800m run and Distance Medley Relay. In addition he has qualified an athlete for the 2010 United States Junior National Meet in both the 1500m and 800M runs. Currently Coach Hall has returned his roots and is the Head Girls Cross Country and Track Coach for the Shepaug Valley High School. He currently works with all event groups but focuses on Middle and Long distance running for both the Boys and Girls programs. Shortly after returning to Shepaug, Andy Pullaro broke one of Shepaug's oldest and most long standing records in the 3200m run set back in the 1980s.
Michael Hall began his coaching career after graduation from University of Connecticut in 2004 where he earned B.S. in Sport Management. Coach Hall is a certified United States Track and Field Level I (Villanova University) and Level II (University of Colorado) Endurance Coach. During his tenure at the University of Connecticut Michael was named to the Big East All Academic Team as well as being selected for the University of Connecticut Scholar Athlete Award. Coach Hall was also selected as the Team Captain of the UCONN Cross Country team in his senior year. His running accomplishments include a being an All New England Selection in the 10,000M, and most recently a 3rd place finish at the Hartford Marathon in 2008.
Prior to the University of Connecticut, Michael competed for Shepaug Valley High School in Washington, Connecticut. During his time at Shepaug Valley he was a seven time Berkshire League All-Star as well as 6 time CIAC Class S All-State Selection in Cross Country and Track. Michael still currently holds the school records at Shepaug Valley HIgh School in the 1600m, 5000m and 4 x 400m.
